We built Kanu to change that.

Today, we’re announcing $11.7 million in seed funding to help enterprises turn their data, judgment, and repeatable workflows into software they own.

Built around how your company works

For decades, companies have adapted their operations to fit the software available to them. Capturing their own processes has meant lengthy development projects, disconnected internal tools, and ongoing maintenance as the business changes.

Kanu starts with the work itself.

A domain expert describes the outcome they need, connects the relevant systems, and shows Kanu how the work should be done. Kanu brings that context together, applies the firm’s instructions and review criteria, and produces finished work.

That might be a client presentation assembled from proposals and market data, an investment memo grounded in deal documents, or an application that helps a team manage a process from start to finish.

Each workflow creates a foundation for the next. Connections, expert guidance, and working procedures become reusable across the organization.

Ownership and trust, built in

Kanu runs inside the customer’s cloud and security environment, giving teams control over their data, permissions, and model choices.

That control extends to the work itself. Teams can inspect the information supporting an output, review conclusions, and keep people involved where decisions require judgment.

As experts refine a process, their guidance can become part of how the next workflow runs. Knowledge that once disappeared into a single deliverable becomes something the organization can use again.

Our work with enterprise teams has reinforced a simple lesson: useful AI starts with understanding the actual process.
